Shunt Capacitor Banks
ALT Powertron Medium Voltage Capacitors are suitable for use on Shunt Capacitor Banks. If your requirements differ from those given in the table below, please let us know.
Outdoor applications include the following styles:
- Pole type
- Console type
- Substation and Filter types
Most substation and filter banks are protected with an unbalance relay scheme, generally using an ungrounded, double Wye bank arrangement.
Our Shunt Capacitor Banks are designed for easy installation in the field.
Capacitors for indoor use are also available; we can supply powers up to and including 600 kVAr for indoor use.
