Originally formed in 1997, ALT Powertron is an incorporated company which sources and supplies specialist components and materials for the professional electronics industry. Whilst the emphasis is on the power electronics industry, other market sectors are also serviced.

With a background of over 30 years experience in passive components, of which 25 years have been spent in the power electronics sector, ALT Powertron offers the following portfolio:

• Water Cooled Capacitors for Induction Heating applications. We specialise in low and medium frequency capacitors up to 10 kHz; and 7 kV ac, with reactive powers up to 7000 kVAr in a single unit. Higher frequencies and voltages are available on request.
• Medium Voltage AC Capacitors for power factor correction and shunt capacitor banks. With working voltages from 3.0 kV up to 34.5 kV, both single and three phase units are available for operation either indoors and outdoors.
• Transformers and Reactors from Elettromil (Italy) for power electronic applications. All products are manufactured to customer specifications. Elettromil is an ISO 9001 qualified company.
• Arc Spray Wire Products for capacitor endspray applications and corrosion protection systems. A variety of zinc, tin and aluminium based alloys are available.
• Technical Translation Finishing Services for customers exporting into UK and other English speaking countries.
